I've gotten to a point in the blanket where I had to order some more black yarn. Yea!

I finished the half circles that are kinda in the middle of the blanket and I finished the black rows after this. But I ran out of black yarn.

Isn't it pretty! Once I figured out I was out of the black, I moved along to the next round of circles have to make to attach to the edge. These are a pretty blue color. Of course I ran out of that yarn too but I at least got my black yarn in the mail around the same time. After I finish a few projects for Halloween, I'll start up on my blanket again.

My goal is to have this blanket done by the time I have a planned medical procedure around Thanksgiving that will lay me up in the hospital for a few days. Don't worry, I'll be fine, just getting my life back.

I recently found this hat that I made a few years ago. I made my daughter a Grumpy Cat hat. I wasn't at all any good at crochet yet but I managed to freehand this hat. The proportions are terrible but it fits.

If you didn't already know, Grumpy Cat passed away this year. RIP Tardar Sauce.........

So I wish I had more to write about this but I don't. We had our Pride fest here in town and the night before I thought it would be a cool idea to crochet up some pride flag head bands for my two kids. I just winged it so no pattern. But anyway all it is is a single crochet( or maybe I used half double I can't remember), one row of each color. Made it long enough to go around our huge heads and stitched both ends onto an elastic hair tie. They are actually a little too big, either that or our heads are just not made to hold on a headband properly. I can't share my oldest kids picture of her all decked out in her Pride regalia, because she asks me to not show her for privacy reasons, but here is my youngest with hers on.

Love these two........
